The Process
And so it begins....
You've decided you want an exact replica of your show car. You've contacted us with a few details, including picture(s). year and model of car etc. We then find out if the casting has been produced in a diecast or plastic model. We have to start with a base (donor). Some vehicles have not been produced in diecast or plastic model form and while we can fabricate many things to match your vehicle we can not create from scratch.
Once we know we can create the project, a proposal is sent including all donor vehicles, parts, materials and labor. When accepted we order everything in to get this project rolling. After receiving the donor vehicle it is completely disassembled, body is stripped of paint. Body is then ready for any fabrication, and body work.
Any graphics on the vehicle we are replicating are reproduced into decals that will go on after the paint and before the clear coat. Interior will get modified and or fabricated to match the 1:1 vehicle. Engine and under hood, wheels, chassis etc. will be fabricated or massaged as needed.
All body parts, interior etc. will be painted to match the 1:1 vehicle then decals, emblems etc. will be applied and then clear coated. The replica is then mounted in a clear display case and delivered.
Most of the larger scale 1:24 and 1:18 replicas have opening doors, and hoods. These display so well with your car at a Car Show, on your mantle, or on your desk.
